Route, window and the first visit

Plan the Canby route from the depot through the county roads, not from a straight line on the map. Set the window to cover the drive and the placement, with a backup if the roads are slow on the day.

A first visit to the spot is worth making for a Canby order of any size. It confirms the access, the ground and the place where the truck can stop for the lift, and it saves a second trip.

    Ground, base and the frontage

The ground at a Canby spot depends on the lot. A frontage on a street needs the owner's consent and the city's, and a drive needs the householder's. Each spot should be checked for a level, firm surface and for drainage.

A unit on a frontage should not block the path or the drive of the neighbor. Where space is tight, the placement is set to keep both clear, and the arrangement is written on the order.

    Events and the owner's terms

A Canby event on public ground is settled with the city, and a private event with its owner. The count is built from the expected crowd and the time people are likely to stay, and it is written on the order before the day.

Ask for the terms in writing, and name the person on the day who signs for the placement. A short written agreement keeps the event and the ground owner working from the same terms.

    Long-term yards and the seasons

A long-term yard unit in Canby should be serviced on a fixed pattern, with the days written on the order. Check the ground after the wet months, and move the unit only if the ground will not hold it.

Keep the path lit and clear for the months when the days are short, and make sure the unit's door can be seen from the house.

What the first visit settles in Canby

The first visit confirms the access, the ground and the place where the truck can stop for the lift. It also confirms the owner's consent and the name of the person who will sign for the unit on the day.

A visit that is written up with photographs gives the customer and the operator the same picture of the spot, and it shortens the conversation when the delivery day comes.
